One of the best methods for acquiring new customers for a digital marketing agency is to research where they congregate online and offline.

Once you know where they are, you can create content that is relevant to their interests and reach out to them through social media, email, or in person.

You can also follow up with them after they've interacted with your content or services.

Another great method for acquiring new customers is through referrals or current clients. If you have happy clients, they will be more than likely to refer you to someone they know who is also in need of your services.

(Start a Referral or Reactivation Campaign for new Business)

Make it easy for them by providing referral cards or a link to your website on their social media profiles. You can also offer a discount or Cash for every new customer they refer to you.

Personal recommendations or word of mouth is a huge multiplier that continuously amplifies your message and makes it 100 times easier to close prospects when someone refers them to you.

Acquiring new customers can be difficult, but with the right strategies in place, it doesn't have to be. By targeting your ideal clients, creating relevant content, and staying top of mind, you'll be well on your way to growing your digital marketing agency. And, with a little bit of hustle, you can do it all on a shoestring budget.

There are a number of digital marketing strategies that can be used to attract potential customers, but not all of them are created equal. In order to get the most bang for your buck, it’s important to focus on strategies that will reach your target audience and deliver results.

One effective way to reach potential customers is through content marketing. By creating and distributing high-quality content that is relevant to your target audience, you can attract attention and build trust with potential customers.

Another effective digital marketing strategy is Search Engine Optimization (SEO). By optimizing your website and content for search engines, you can improve your visibility in search results and attract more visitors to your site.

Finally, social media marketing is also a great way to reach potential customers and build relationships. By creating and sharing content on social media, you can connect with potential customers and create a community around your brand.

For me, Video Marketing has been the biggest thing to move my business forward and having a repeatable actionable process to provide results to a specific niche.

I am able to take my video content and creation skills and personality and apply them to any project at hand. The ability to make videos that are informative, entertaining, and engaging is what makes me stand out from the crowd.

All of these digital marketing strategies can be effective in attracting new clients to your niche marketing agency.

However, it’s important to remember that not all strategies will work for every business. It’s important to experiment and find what works best for your business.

With a little trial and error, you can find the perfect mix of digital marketing strategies to help you acquire more clients on a shoestring budget.

What kind of outbound marketing do you find most effective?

There are a lot of ways to do outbound marketing, but which ones are most effective for acquiring new clients? If you're working with a shoestring budget, you'll need to be strategic about your approach. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Develop a strong social media presence.

This is one of the most cost-effective ways to reach your target market. Make sure you're active on the platforms where your ideal clients are hanging out. You can start Cold DMing them after you have provided them with some kind of value.

Network, network, network.

Get involved in relevant online and offline communities where your target clients are likely to be. Attend industry events, webinars, and conferences. Connect with potential clients on LinkedIn and online communities.

Partner with complementary businesses.

Find businesses that serve the same target market as you and see if there's an opportunity to develop a strategic partnership to boost revenue for you and their business. You could cross-promote each other's products or services, for example.

Create helpful content.

If you can position yourself as an expert in your field, potential clients will be more likely to come to you when they're ready to make a purchase. Create blog content, Social Media posts, whitepapers, eBooks, and other helpful resources that your target market will find valuable.

Get involved in paid advertising.

While this option can be costly, it can also be very effective if done correctly. Test out different ad platforms and strategies to see what works best for your business.

For illustration in the past, I've scraped google my business listings or used D7 Leads and bought a list of businesses in my niche to sell SEO services and cold emailed them with a link to a free website auditor or landing page audit plus they receive a free 15-minute consulting call to go over their score. And how to fix the issues that are on their website. I use seoptimizer to do that, it's effective but doesn't use your main domain when blasting out cold emails and warm it up first.

Do you focus on inbound or outbound marketing? Why?

If you want to get more clients for your niche marketing agency, you'll need to focus on inbound marketing.

Inbound marketing

Inbound marketing is all about creating content that pulls people towards your business. This could be anything from a blog post or video to a whitepaper or e-book. By creating helpful, informative content, you'll be able to attract more clients to your business.

Outbound marketing

Outbound marketing, on the other hand, is all about pushing your message out there through advertising and cold-calling. While this can be effective, it's often much more expensive than inbound marketing.

Plus, with inbound marketing, you're able to build a relationship with potential clients before you even work with them. This can make it much easier to close the deal.

So, if you're looking to get more clients for your niche marketing agency, focus on inbound marketing.

It's less expensive and more effective in the long run. Plus, you'll be able to build better relationships with potential clients. Win-win!

But... I will say I started out cold calling local businesses and offering a "free audit or to fix their Facebook pixel" or setup their Email automation for free(When they used my Affiliate link) and that turned into a lot of clients. So, there are many ways to get clients.

But what if you don't have any money to spend on marketing?

Well, luckily, there are still a few things you can do.

  • First, make sure you're using all of the free resources at your disposal. This includes things like social media, your website, and even word-of-mouth.
  • Make sure you're putting your best foot forward with all of these marketing channels.
  • Get involved with your local community. Attend events, sponsor a little league team or volunteer for a charity.
  • This is a great way to get your name out there and show potential clients that you're more than just a marketing agency.
  • Finally, don't be afraid to ask for help.

If you have friends or family in the business world, see if they can introduce you to potential clients. Sometimes, all it takes is one meeting to get your foot in the door.

Do you think that paid advertising is still the best way to attract new customers?

The answer is: it depends. Sure, paid advertising can be effective, but it’s not always the most cost-efficient way to attract new clients, especially if you’re working with a limited budget.

So what are some other options? Here are a few ideas:

One option is to focus on content marketing.

This means creating valuable, informative content that your target audience will find useful. You can then distribute this content through your website, blog, social channels, and email list.

Another option is to build relationships with other businesses in your niche.

For example, you could partner with another business to co-host an event or webinar. This is a great way to reach a new audience and get your name out there.

You could also offer discounts or special offers to new clients. This can be an effective way to attract attention and get people interested in working with you.

Have you tried content marketing as a way to attract new customers? What were your results?

Content marketing is an effective way to reach out to potential clients without breaking the bank. By creating informative and valuable content, you can attract attention and interest from people who might not have otherwise heard of your business.

Try partnering with other businesses in your niche, or offering discounts and special offers to new clients. These are all great ways to get more exposure for your business without spending a lot of money on advertising.

The result has been amazing!

We've been able to connect with so many new people and build relationships that we wouldn't have otherwise. Plus, our clients love the content we're putting out, which has helped us retain them as well.

Overall, I would say that content marketing is a great way to attract new clients without spending a lot of money.

What are some of the biggest challenges you face when it comes to acquiring new customers?

If you're like most small businesses, the answer is probably "not enough money." With a shoestring budget, or cost-effective ways of acquiring new customers it can be difficult to attract the attention of your ideal target market.

But there are some ways that you can get around this challenge and acquire more clients for your niche marketing agency.

My most difficult task is connecting with the appropriate individuals.

And maintaining all of the relationships I have already established. What takes the most time is research to make sure I am reaching out to individuals who are the correct match for my services.

A great book to read is Chet Homes the Ultimate Sales Machine which talks about his Dream 100 framework, Dana Derricks has a book called Dream 100 that has some actionable advice on the topic of acquiring basically more referral or affiliate partnerships to drive your business forward.

What are some good niches for Marketing Agencies?

There are a lot of different marketing niches out there, but not all of them are created equal. Here are four good niches for marketing agencies:

- Technology companies

- Startups

- eCommerce businesses

- Local businesses

Each of these niches has its own unique challenges and opportunities that can be capitalized on by a marketing agency. Word of Advice: Niche Down- For example gym clothing eCommerce brands or HVAC companies with less than 20 Employees.

It's a lot easier to be perceived as an expert in these sub-niches. and developed and replicate success and resources for the same niche as well as have a great sales process when onboarding and prospecting.

Technology companies

Technology companies are always looking for the latest and greatest way to market their products and services. A good marketing agency will stay on top of the latest trends in technology and be able to offer their clients cutting-edge solutions.

Startups are often bootstrapped and have limited budgets for marketing. A good marketing agency will be able to work within these constraints and still produce results that help the startup grow.

eCommerce businesses

eCommerce businesses need to be able to reach their target audience no matter where they are in the world. A good marketing agency will have a global reach and be able to provide solutions that cater to this type of business.

Local businesses

Local businesses often have a tight-knit community that they need to appeal to. A good marketing agency will be familiar with the local area and be able to create marketing campaigns that resonate with the locals.

For illustration, it's a lot easier to manufacture predictability of success with say a local HVAC or Health Spa because you can replicate winning creatives and offers over and over again.

Technology companies, startups, eCommerce businesses, and local businesses are all great niches for marketing agencies. Each one presents its own unique challenges and opportunities that can be capitalized on by a marketing agency.

When choosing a niche, it's important to consider the needs of the client base and the type of results they are looking for. With so many different niches out there, there's sure to be one that's a perfect fit for your marketing agency.
